The standard Archon model is fairly goofy in my opinion. It's meant to be a bat like pose of a vampire lord but it just looks like he's giving himself a cuddle with his crossed arms. I wanted a bit more of a dynamic pose. I also didn't like the head. Fortunately the Warrior box provided plenty of options. I started off by removing one of the straight legs and replacing it with a bent one from the warriors. It wasn't a perfect match but was close enough to have to point it out to really see it.
I started off with one of the heads from the warrior kit but it didn't have the gravies or menance I wanted. I also thought the mini was getting a bit lost on the base I'd made for it.
So I simplified it down to a single set of sandbags from a old Imperial guard kit I have lots of hanging around.
I wanted him to stand out from my run of the mill warriors with a custom red paint job (to make him go faster... Opps wrong species.) I'm not entirely happy with him just yet.
For narrative I have decided that the "Over Lord Archon" is just a shadowy mastermind. Each Archon I add to my force is aligned to him somehow and leads his forces or their own. H'ron is the "Overlord's" Chief soldier. He leads the raids and campaign's. His motto is shock and awe. Ultra violence at the point of attack and then disappear. Others come to take the captives. His mission is to destroy resistance and spread fear.
His warlord trait will therefore be "Eternal hatred". H'ron's past is clouded. Some say he was a noble that fell from grace and is now a servant. He takes offence at the smallest slight against him or the Eldar race. On a raid any resistance is a slight to him and those who do so pay a heavy price for their insolance.
