I started my Grey Knights army shortly after I had resumed collecting. Collecting a 5th army wasn't the best idea but I read their fluff in the 2nd Edition index back in the day and it captured my imagination as the Imperium elite Demon hunters.
It all started with a brother captain from Ebay. I was looking for terminator characters for the Death Tempter and saw him for cheap as his spear was broken. Easily fixed. When it came the silver primer was still on so it was a easy paint amd I enjoyed reclaiming the captain for task force 886.
Well I then needed a force to go with him. Obviously. I resolved not to get too much before returning to the main armies of Drukhari and My Space marine Chapter (The Death Tempters)
First came a Terminator squad/Paladins. Seeing the range of parts inside I struggled to decide what to make. I wound up buying a 5th edition codex (to match my old set. I hadn't decided to play 8th yet)
Christmas was upon us and my lovely family got me another strike squad and more Paladins. I couldn't afford more characters but it seemed simple to make my own. This I resolved to do.
Narrative reason for campaign
This brotherhood from the 6th company of the fortress has been assembled following the prognosticars reporting that an ancient evil dwelling in a cursed artefact deep beneath the earth of an imperial world is being disturbed by forces unknown. The artefact is kept within an forgotten and sealed tomb that has been breached and death and terror is being added weakening the defences placed there. A forsaken psyker will weild the blade and unleash doom upon the Imperium.
The brotherhood must follow the trail to find the ancient tomb and clense the site before it is too late. Following the principles of their leader the brotherhood is small but well formed. Joining task force 886 as they make preparations to defend the system of Imperio from an invasion of deadly Xenos, the brotherhood helped by the Inquisitiors assigned the the task force begin unravelling the plot.
