Admin tower. terrain

Following my water tower idea and its success on reddit I was excited to try something else. 

My paint brush holder/old tin was another eyesore on the desktop battlefield.  

This time I wanted a plan.  Mainly because I'd used all my big scrap pieces so we:d be down to

 I threw something together in a. CAD design in Ike five minutes just to get an idea of the shape I was going for and some dimensions.

Needed a door so got some old rhino doors out of the bits box and some red mesh to act as a laser defense grid or something behind them for visual interest.

The. Buttresses were harder than I thought but I'm glad I went with them on the corners as it looks a lot better than at right angles.

With the lid on it is a bit high but I think it looks good. It's not internet worthy but from a distance, in a bad light,if you squint it looks like a bastion of some sort.

It does hold all my paint brushes and the scissors. Putting the hobby knives in there is a bit risky.

November Four Three.... Nike

The Leviathan box came with a new space marine Lieutenant in phobos armour.

 I aleady had K12 and his friend from the Vanguard set. 

Fortunately 5th company was already on the slate as the Ravenguard esk company. Phobos conversions all around. He would fit in perfectly there. 

Space dwarf buggy

When you are out prospecting  you need that vehicle that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

 The Sagitaur is that machine for Space Dwarfs

This colour scheme is very similar if not pretty much exactly the same (in choice of colours not quality) as the box art.

 That orange spot on the guns really makes them I think. I haven't settled on a loadout for it yet. I think they are like the genestealer buggies in that they are harassment units. Meant to drop off their cargo and then die. I think they can make use of their laser beam weapon more than the Hearthkyn or fortress as you are going to be getting up close so can look to get those rear units and their speed will let you lineup the double shot. Missiles look cooler though.
