Biker Mice from Astartes

I have never really liked Space marine bikers. It never made sense to try and shoot automatic rifles from the handlebar of a motorbike.

 With the command edition starter set I got a unit of three and had them sitting on my desk primed and brining the whole look of the company down with their un-paintedness.

 As I said in my previous post on the Vanguard here I wanted to try the reserve companies trim and decided the 6th would be in charge of the company's light vehicles such as Land speeders, flyers and bikes. 

A quick base coat later and they looked like this. I used khorne red to start with as I also want to try weathering these models so it looks like they've been out scouting from the main column and got a bit dirty. 

Now bases. When I glued on the sand for these I didn't do the underside or back so I could add the battle mire technical paint to look like mud under the wheels. 

It looked good without the bike but when I added that on it became a bit redundant and you can't really see it. Nevermind might be able to tease it out more after weathering. 

I liked the yellow markings so much I've bought a landspeeder to share their company markings and I'm thinking a set of inceptors or assault marines might look good and fit the light infantry /rapid response role for 6th.
